FLOYD TRIALS ARE OVER!!!!

Well that’s it folks! After two months of challenging New York City Police Department’s controversial “stop-and-frisk” policy the trials have finally closed. We’ve all argued that these practices are unconstitutional and unfairly target people of color- aka unreasonable suspicion and we’ve got the stats to prove it! Plus- On Monday, U.S. District Judge Shira Scheindlin displayed an interest in ordering police to wear cameras to monitor their actions. Judge Scheindlin also criticized the effectiveness of “stop and frisk,” telling city attorneys: “You reasonably suspect something and you’re wrong 90 percent of the time.” A ruling is expected in the coming months. Can’t wait but we’ll keep you posted!!!!
